요엘 1장 [KJV]

1. 1 브두엘의 아들 요엘에게 임한 주의 말씀이라.

   1 The word of the LORD that came to Joel the son of Pethuel.

2. 2 너희 늙은 자들아, 이것을 들으라. 그 땅의 모든 거주민들아, 너희는 귀를 기울일지어다. 너희 날들에나 참으로 너희 조상들의 날들에 이런 일이 있었느냐?

   2 Hear this, ye old men, and give ear, all ye inhabitants of the land. Hath this been in your days, or even in the days of your fathers?

3. 3 너희는 그것을 너희 자녀들에게 말하고 너희 자녀들은 그들의 자녀들에게 말하며 그들의 자녀들은 다른 세대에게 말할지니라.

   3 Tell ye your children of it, and [let] your children [tell] their children, and their children another generation.

4. 4 털벌레가 남긴 것을 메뚜기가 먹었고 메뚜기가 남긴 것을 자벌레가 먹었으며 자벌레가 남긴 것을 쐐기벌레가 먹었도다.

   4 That which the palmerworm hath left hath the locust eaten; and that which the locust hath left hath the cankerworm eaten; and that which the cankerworm hath left hath the caterpiller eaten.

5. 5 술주정뱅이들아, 너희는 깨어 울지어다. 포도즙을 마시는 모든 자들아, 새 포도즙이 너희 입에서 끊어졌으니 너희는 새 포도즙으로 인해 울부짖을지어다.

   5 Awake, ye drunkards, and weep; and howl, all ye drinkers of wine, because of the new wine; for it is cut off from your mouth.

6. 6 한 민족이 내 땅에 올라왔는데 그들은 강하고 수없이 많으며 그들의 이는 사자의 이빨 같고 그는 큰 사자의 어금니를 가졌도다.

   6 For a nation is come up upon my land, strong, and without number, whose teeth [are] the teeth of a lion, and he hath the cheek teeth of a great lion.

7. 7 그가 내 포도나무를 피폐하게 하였고 내 무화과나무의 껍질을 벗기되 깨끗이 벗겨서 내버렸으므로 그것의 가지들이 하얗게 되었도다.

   7 He hath laid my vine waste, and barked my fig tree: he hath made it clean bare, and cast [it] away; the branches thereof are made white.

8. 8 ¶ 어릴 때에 정혼한 남편으로 인해 굵은베를 두른 처녀같이 애곡하라.

   8 Lament like a virgin girded with sackcloth for the husband of her youth.

9. 9 음식 헌물과 음료 헌물이 주의 집에서 끊어졌으므로 제사장들 곧 주를 섬기는 자들이 애곡하는도다.

   9 The meat offering and the drink offering is cut off from the house of the LORD; the priests, the LORD'S ministers, mourn.

10. 10 밭이 소멸되어 땅이 애곡하나니 이는 곡식이 소멸되고 새 포도즙이 말랐으며 기름이 떨어지기 때문이라.

    10 The field is wasted, the land mourneth; for the corn is wasted: the new wine is dried up, the oil languisheth.

11. 11 오 너희 농부들아, 너희는 부끄러워할지어다. 오 포도원을 가꾸는 자들아, 밭의 수확할 것이 사라졌으니 너희는 밀과 보리로 인해 울부짖을지어다.

    11 Be ye ashamed, O ye husbandmen; howl, O ye vinedressers, for the wheat and for the barley; because the harvest of the field is perished.

12. 12 포도나무가 말랐고 무화과나무가 시들며 석류나무와 또한 종려나무와 사과나무와 참으로 들의 모든 나무들이 시들었으니 이는 기쁨이 말라 사람들의 아들들에게서 사라졌기 때문이라.

    12 The vine is dried up, and the fig tree languisheth; the pomegranate tree, the palm tree also, and the apple tree, [even] all the trees of the field, are withered: because joy is withered away from the sons of men.

13. 13 제사장들아, 너희는 띠를 동여매고 애곡할지어다. 제단을 섬기는 자들아, 너희는 울부짖을지어다. 내 하나님을 섬기는 자들아, 너희가 음식 헌물과 음료 헌물을 너희 하나님의 집에서 드리지 못하게 되었으니 너희는 와서 굵은베 옷을 입고 밤새도록 누울지어다.

    13 Gird yourselves, and lament, ye priests: howl, ye ministers of the altar: come, lie all night in sackcloth, ye ministers of my God: for the meat offering and the drink offering is withholden from the house of your God.

14. 14 ¶ 너희는 금식하는 일을 거룩히 구별하고 엄숙한 집회를 소집하여 그 땅의 장로들과 모든 거주민들을 주 너희 하나님의 집으로 모아 주께 부르짖을지어다.

    14 Sanctify ye a fast, call a solemn assembly, gather the elders [and] all the inhabitants of the land [into] the house of the LORD your God, and cry unto the LORD,

15. 15 그날로 인해 슬프도다! 주의 날이 가까이 왔으며 그날이 전능자에게서 나온 멸망같이 오리라.

    15 Alas for the day! for the day of the LORD [is] at hand, and as a destruction from the Almighty shall it come.

16. 16 먹을 것이 우리 눈앞에서 끊어지지 아니하였느냐? 참으로 기쁨과 즐거움이 우리 하나님의 집에서 끊어지지 아니하였느냐?

    16 Is not the meat cut off before our eyes, [yea], joy and gladness from the house of our God?

17. 17 씨가 자기 흙덩어리 밑에서 썩었고 곡식이 시들었으므로 창고들이 황폐하게 되었으며 곳간들이 무너졌도다.

    17 The seed is rotten under their clods, the garners are laid desolate, the barns are broken down; for the corn is withered.

18. 18 짐승들이 어찌 그리 신음하는가! 가축 떼가 어찌할 바를 모르니 이는 그것들에게 초장이 없기 때문이라. 참으로 양 떼가 황폐하게 되었도다.

    18 How do the beasts groan! the herds of cattle are perplexed, because they have no pasture; yea, the flocks of sheep are made desolate.

19. 19 오 주여, 불이 광야의 초장들을 삼키고 불꽃이 들의 모든 나무들을 태웠으므로 내가 주께 부르짖으리이다.

    19 O LORD, to thee will I cry: for the fire hath devoured the pastures of the wilderness, and the flame hath burned all the trees of the field.

20. 20 물 많은 강들이 마르고 불이 광야의 초장들을 삼켰으므로 들의 짐승들도 주께 부르짖나이다.

    20 The beasts of the field cry also unto thee: for the rivers of waters are dried up, and the fire hath devoured the pastures of the wilderness.
