오바댜 1장 [KJV]

1. 1 오바댜의 환상 계시라. 주 하나님께서 에돔에 관하여 이같이 말씀하시느니라. 우리가 주로부터 한 소문을 들었도다. 한 대사가 이교도들 가운데로 보내어졌는데 그가 말하기를, 너희는 일어나라. 우리가 에돔과 싸우기 위해 일어나자, 하는도다.

   1 The vision of Obadiah. Thus saith the Lord GOD concerning Edom; We have heard a rumour from the LORD, and an ambassador is sent among the heathen, Arise ye, and let us rise up against her in battle.

2. 2 보라, 내가 너를 이교도들 가운데서 작게 만들었으므로 네가 크게 멸시를 받는도다.

   2 Behold, I have made thee small among the heathen: thou art greatly despised.

3. 3 ¶ 너 곧 바위틈에 거하며 높은 곳에 거처를 둔 자야, 네가 마음속으로 이르기를, 누가 나를 땅바닥으로 끌어 내리겠느냐? 하지만 네 마음의 교만이 너를 속였도다.

   3 The pride of thine heart hath deceived thee, thou that dwellest in the clefts of the rock, whose habitation [is] high; that saith in his heart, Who shall bring me down to the ground?

4. 4 네가 너 자신을 독수리처럼 높이며 네 보금자리를 별들 가운데 둘지라도 내가 거기서 너를 끌어 내리리라. 주가 말하노라.

   4 Though thou exalt [thyself] as the eagle, and though thou set thy nest among the stars, thence will I bring thee down, saith the LORD.

5. 5 (네가 어찌 그리 끊어졌는가!) 도둑들이 네게 오고 강도들이 밤에 온다면 그들이 훔치되 충분히 얻을 때까지만 훔치지 아니하겠느냐? 포도를 따서 모으는 자들이 네게 온다면 그들이 얼마의 포도는 남기지 아니하겠느냐?

   5 If thieves came to thee, if robbers by night, (how art thou cut off!) would they not have stolen till they had enough? if the grapegatherers came to thee, would they not leave [some] grapes?

6. 6 그들이 에서의 물건들을 어찌 그리 찾아내었는가! 그들이 그가 숨긴 물건들을 어찌 그리 찾았는가!

   6 How are [the things] of Esau searched out! [how] are his hidden things sought up!

7. 7 너와 연합한 모든 사람들이 너를 접경 지역까지 몰아갔으며 너와 평화롭게 지내던 사람들이 너를 속이고 너를 쳐서 이겼으며 네 빵을 먹는 자들이 네 밑에 상처를 깔아 두었도다. 그에게는 지각이 없도다.

   7 All the men of thy confederacy have brought thee [even] to the border: the men that were at peace with thee have deceived thee, [and] prevailed against thee; [they that eat] thy bread have laid a wound under thee: [there is] none understanding in him.

8. 8 주가 말하노라. 그 날에 내가 에돔에서 지혜로운 사람들을 참으로 멸하며 에서의 산에서 지각을 멸하지 아니하겠느냐?

   8 Shall I not in that day, saith the LORD, even destroy the wise [men] out of Edom, and understanding out of the mount of Esau?

9. 9 오 데만아, 네 용사들이 놀랄 것이요, 이로써 에서의 산의 모든 사람이 살육에 의해 끊어지리라.

   9 And thy mighty [men], O Teman, shall be dismayed, to the end that every one of the mount of Esau may be cut off by slaughter.

10. 10 ¶ 네가 네 형제 야곱에게 행한 폭력으로 인해 수치가 너를 덮겠고 네가 영원히 끊어지리라.

    10 For [thy] violence against thy brother Jacob shame shall cover thee, and thou shalt be cut off for ever.

11. 11 네가 저쪽에 서 있던 날 곧 타국인들이 그의 군대를 포로로 사로잡아 가며 외국인들이 그의 성문들로 들어가 예루살렘을 두고 제비를 뽑던 날에 참으로 너도 그들 중 하나 같았느니라.

    11 In the day that thou stoodest on the other side, in the day that the strangers carried away captive his forces, and foreigners entered into his gates, and cast lots upon Jerusalem, even thou [wast] as one of them.

12. 12 그러나 너는 네 형제의 날 곧 그가 낯선 자가 되던 날에 바라만 보지 말았어야 했고 유다 자손이 멸망하던 날에 그들로 인해 기뻐하지 말았어야 했으며 그들이 곤경에 처하던 날에 교만히 말하지 말았어야 했느니라.

    12 But thou shouldest not have looked on the day of thy brother in the day that he became a stranger; neither shouldest thou have rejoiced over the children of Judah in the day of their destruction; neither shouldest thou have spoken proudly in the day of distress.

13. 13 너는 내 백성이 재난을 당하던 날에 그들의 성문에 들어가지 말았어야 했고 참으로 그들이 재난을 당하던 날에 그들의 고통을 바라만 보지 말았어야 했으며 그들이 재난을 당하던 날에 그들의 재물에 손을 대지 말았어야 했고

    13 Thou shouldest not have entered into the gate of my people in the day of their calamity; yea, thou shouldest not have looked on their affliction in the day of their calamity, nor have laid [hands] on their substance in the day of their calamity;

14. 14 십자로에 서서 그에게 속한 자들 중에서 도망한 자들을 끊지 말았어야 했으며 그들이 곤경에 처하던 날에 그에게 속한 자들 중에서 남아 있는 자들을 넘겨주지 말았어야 했느니라.

    14 Neither shouldest thou have stood in the crossway, to cut off those of his that did escape; neither shouldest thou have delivered up those of his that did remain in the day of distress.

15. 15 주의 날이 모든 이교도들 위에 가까이 왔도다. 네가 행한 대로 네게 이루어지리니 너에 대한 보응이 네 머리로 되돌아가리라.

    15 For the day of the LORD [is] near upon all the heathen: as thou hast done, it shall be done unto thee: thy reward shall return upon thine own head.

16. 16 너희가 나의 거룩한 산에서 마신 것같이 그렇게 모든 이교도들도 계속해서 마시리니 참으로 그들이 마시고 삼킬 것이므로 그들이 마치 이전에 없었던 것처럼 되리라.

    16 For as ye have drunk upon my holy mountain, [so] shall all the heathen drink continually, yea, they shall drink, and they shall swallow down, and they shall be as though they had not been.

17. 17 ¶ 그러나 시온 산 위에는 구출이 있고 거룩함이 있을 것이요, 야곱의 집은 자기 소유물을 소유하리라.

    17 But upon mount Zion shall be deliverance, and there shall be holiness; and the house of Jacob shall possess their possessions.

18. 18 야곱의 집은 불이 되고 요셉의 집은 불꽃이 되며 에서의 집은 지푸라기가 되리라. 그들이 저들을 불사르고 삼키리니 에서의 집에 남아 있는 자가 하나도 없으리라. 주가 그것을 말하였느니라.

    18 And the house of Jacob shall be a fire, and the house of Joseph a flame, and the house of Esau for stubble, and they shall kindle in them, and devour them; and there shall not be [any] remaining of the house of Esau; for the LORD hath spoken [it].

19. 19 남쪽에 있는 자들은 에서의 산을 소유하고 평야에 있는 자들은 블레셋 사람들을 소유할 것이며 또 그들은 에브라임의 들과 사마리아의 들을 소유하고 베냐민은 길르앗을 소유하리라.

    19 And [they of] the south shall possess the mount of Esau; and [they of] the plain the Philistines: and they shall possess the fields of Ephraim, and the fields of Samaria: and Benjamin [shall possess] Gilead.

20. 20 또 포로로 잡혀간 이스라엘 자손들의 이 군대는 가나안 족속의 땅을 사르밧까지 소유하고 예루살렘에서 포로로 잡혀간 자들 곧 스바랏에 있는 자들은 남쪽의 도시들을 소유하리라.

    20 And the captivity of this host of the children of Israel [shall possess] that of the Canaanites, [even] unto Zarephath; and the captivity of Jerusalem, which [is] in Sepharad, shall possess the cities of the south.

21. 21 구원자들이 시온 산 위로 올라와 에서의 산을 심판하리니 그 왕국이 주의 것이 되리라.

    21 And saviours shall come up on mount Zion to judge the mount of Esau; and the kingdom shall be the LORD'S.
