1 또 그분께서 그들에게 이르시되, 진실로 내가 너희에게 이르노니 여기 서 있는 자들 가운데 몇 사람은 하나님의 왕국이 권능 있게 오는 것을 볼 때까지 죽음을 맛보지 아니하리라, 하시니라.
1 And he said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That there be some of them that stand here, which shall not taste of death, till they have seen the kingdom of God come with power.

2 ¶ 엿새 뒤에 예수님께서 베드로와 야고보와 요한을 취해 따로 그들을 높은 산으로 이끌고 올라가사 그들 앞에서 모습이 변하시니
2 And after six days Jesus taketh [with him] Peter, and James, and John, and leadeth them up into an high mountain apart by themselves: and he was transfigured before them.

3 그분의 옷이 빛나며 땅 위의 어떤 세탁공도 희게 할 수 없을 만큼 눈처럼 매우 희게 되었더라.
3 And his raiment became shining, exceeding white as snow; so as no fuller on earth can white them.

4 엘리야가 모세와 함께 그들에게 나타나 예수님과 이야기하므로
4 And there appeared unto them Elias with Moses: and they were talking with Jesus.

5 베드로가 예수님께 응답하여 이르되, 선생님이여, 우리가 여기 있는 것이 좋사오니 우리가 장막 셋을 짓되 하나는 선생님을 위해, 하나는 모세를 위해, 하나는 엘리야를 위해 짓게 하옵소서, 하더라.
5 And Peter answered and said to Jesus, Master, it is good for us to be here: and let us make three tabernacles; one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias.

6 이는 그들이 심히 두려워하였으므로 그가 무슨 말을 해야 할지 알지 못하였기 때문이더라.
6 For he wist not what to say; for they were sore afraid.

7 구름이 그들을 덮었는데 그 구름 속에서 한 음성이 나서 이르시되, 이 사람은 내 사랑하는 아들이니 그의 말을 들으라, 하시므로
7 And there was a cloud that overshadowed them: and a voice came out of the cloud, saying, This is my beloved Son: hear him.

8 그들이 문득 주위를 둘러보니 오직 자기들과 함께한 예수님 외에는 더 이상 아무도 보이지 아니하더라.
8 And suddenly, when they had looked round about, they saw no man any more, save Jesus only with themselves.

9 그들이 산에서 내려올 때에 그분께서 그들에게 명하사 사람의 아들이 죽은 자들로부터 일어날 때까지는 그들이 본 것들을 아무에게도 말하지 못하게 하시니
9 And as they came down from the mountain, he charged them that they should tell no man what things they had seen, till the Son of man were risen from the dead.

10 그들이 그 말씀을 자기들 속에 간직하며 죽은 자들로부터 일어나는 것이 무엇을 뜻하는지 서로 묻더라.
10 And they kept that saying with themselves, questioning one with another what the rising from the dead should mean.

11 ¶ 그들이 그분께 여쭈어 이르되, 어찌하여 서기관들은 반드시 엘리야가 먼저 와야 한다고 말하나이까? 하매
11 And they asked him, saying, Why say the scribes that Elias must first come?

12 그분께서 그들에게 대답하여 이르시되, 참으로 엘리야가 먼저 와서 모든 것을 회복하느니라. 그런데 사람의 아들에 대하여는 그가 반드시 많은 일들로 고난을 당하고 멸시를 당해야 함이 기록되어 있느니라.
12 And he answered and told them, Elias verily cometh first, and restoreth all things; and how it is written of the Son of man, that he must suffer many things, and be set at nought.

13 그러나 내가 너희에게 이르노니 참으로 엘리야가 왔지만 그에 대하여 기록된 바와 같이 그들이 무엇이든지 자기들이 원하는 것을 그에게 행하였도다, 하시니라.
13 But I say unto you, That Elias is indeed come, and they have done unto him whatsoever they listed, as it is written of him.

14 ¶ 그분께서 자기 제자들에게 와서 보시니 큰 무리가 그들을 둘러싸고 서기관들이 그들과 논쟁하고 있더라.
14 And when he came to [his] disciples, he saw a great multitude about them, and the scribes questioning with them.

15 즉시 모든 사람들이 그분을 보고 심히 놀라며 그분께 달려와 그분께 문안하므로
15 And straightway all the people, when they beheld him, were greatly amazed, and running to [him] saluted him.

16 그분께서 서기관들에게 물으시되, 너희가 그들과 무엇을 논쟁하느냐? 하시니
16 And he asked the scribes, What question ye with them?
-
17 무리 중의 한 사람이 대답하여 이르되, 선생님이여, 내가 말 못 하는 영이 들린 내 아들을 선생님께 데려왔나이다.
17 And one of the multitude answered and said, Master, I have brought unto thee my son, which hath a dumb spirit;

18 어디든지 그가 아이를 데려가서 쥐어뜯으면 아이가 거품을 흘리고 이를 갈며 몸이 파리해지므로 내가 선생님의 제자들에게 말하여 그들이 그를 내쫓게 하였으나 그들이 할 수 없었나이다, 하매
18 And wheresoever he taketh him, he teareth him: and he foameth, and gnasheth with his teeth, and pineth away: and I spake to thy disciples that they should cast him out; and they could not.

19 그분께서 그에게 응답하여 이르시되, 오 믿음이 없는 세대야, 내가 언제까지 너희와 함께 있어야 하겠느냐? 언제까지 너희를 용납해야 하겠느냐? 그를 내게 데려오라, 하시니
19 He answereth him, and saith, O faithless generation, how long shall I be with you? how long shall I suffer you? bring him unto me.

20 그들이 그를 그분께 데려오매 그분께서 그를 볼 때에 즉시 그 영이 그를 쥐어뜯으므로 그가 땅바닥에 쓰러져 뒹굴며 거품을 흘리더라.
20 And they brought him unto him: and when he saw him, straightway the spirit tare him; and he fell on the ground, and wallowed foaming.

21 그분께서 그의 아버지에게 물으시되, 이것이 그에게 들어온 지 얼마나 오래되었느냐? 하시니 그가 이르되, 어릴 때부터이니이다.
21 And he asked his father, How long is it ago since this came unto him? And he said, Of a child.

22 그것이 그를 죽이려고 불과 물에 그를 자주 던졌나이다. 그러나 선생님께서 무슨 일을 하실 수 있거든 우리를 불쌍히 여기사 우리를 도와주소서, 하매
22 And ofttimes it hath cast him into the fire, and into the waters, to destroy him: but if thou canst do any thing, have compassion on us, and help us.

23 예수님께서 그에게 이르시되, 네가 만일 믿을 수 있거든 믿는 자에게는 모든 것이 가능하니라, 하시니
23 Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things [are] possible to him that believeth.

24 즉시 그 아이의 아버지가 부르짖고 눈물을 흘리며 이르되, 주여, 내가 믿나이다. 나의 믿지 아니함을 주께서 도와주소서, 하더라.
24 And straightway the father of the child cried out, and said with tears, Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief.

25 예수님께서 사람들이 함께 달려오는 것을 보시고 그 더러운 영을 꾸짖어 그에게 이르시되, 너 말 못 하고 귀먹은 영아, 내가 네게 명하노니 그에게서 나오고 다시는 그에게 들어가지 말라, 하시매
25 When Jesus saw that the people came running together, he rebuked the foul spirit, saying unto him, [Thou] dumb and deaf spirit, I charge thee, come out of him, and enter no more into him.

26 그 영이 소리를 지르며 그를 심하게 찢은 뒤 그에게서 나가니 그가 죽은 자같이 되므로 많은 사람이 말하기를, 그가 죽었다, 하였으나
26 And [the spirit] cried, and rent him sore, and came out of him: and he was as one dead; insomuch that many said, He is dead.

27 예수님께서 그의 손을 잡아 그를 일으키시매 그가 일어나니라.
27 But Jesus took him by the hand, and lifted him up; and he arose.

28 그분께서 집에 들어가셨을 때에 그분의 제자들이 그분께 은밀히 여쭙되, 어찌하여 우리는 그를 내쫓을 수 없었나이까? 하니
28 And when he was come into the house, his disciples asked him privately, Why could not we cast him out?
-
29 그분께서 그들에게 이르시되, 이런 종류는 기도와 금식에 의하지 않고서는 다른 어떤 것에 의해서도 나갈 수 없느니라, 하시니라.
29 And he said unto them, This kind can come forth by nothing, but by prayer and fasting.

30 ¶ 그들이 거기를 떠나 갈릴리를 지나가는데 그분께서는 아무도 그것을 아는 것을 원치 아니하시니
30 And they departed thence, and passed through Galilee; and he would not that any man should know [it].

31 이는 그분께서 자기 제자들을 가르치시며 그들에게 이르시되, 사람의 아들이 사람들의 손에 넘겨져서 그들에게 죽임을 당하고 죽임당한 뒤 셋째 날 일어나리라, 하셨기 때문이라.
31 For he taught his disciples, and said unto them, The Son of man is delivered into the hands of men, and they shall kill him; and after that he is killed, he shall rise the third day.

32 그러나 그들은 그 말씀을 깨닫지 못하였고 그분께 묻기를 두려워하였더라.
32 But they understood not that saying, and were afraid to ask him.

33 ¶ 그분께서 가버나움으로 가셔서 집에 계실 때에 그들에게 물으시되, 너희가 길에서 무슨 일로 너희끼리 논쟁하였느냐? 하셨으나
33 And he came to Capernaum: and being in the house he asked them, What was it that ye disputed among yourselves by the way?

34 그들이 침묵하였으니 이는 그들이 길에서 누가 가장 큰 자인가 하는 문제로 자기들끼리 논쟁하였기 때문이더라.
34 But they held their peace: for by the way they had disputed among themselves, who [should be] the greatest.
-
35 그분께서 앉으신 뒤 열두 제자를 불러 그들에게 이르시되, 어떤 사람이 첫째가 되기를 원하면 바로 그 사람은 모든 사람의 말째가 되고 모든 사람의 종이 되어야 할지니라, 하시며
35 And he sat down, and called the twelve, and saith unto them, If any man desire to be first, [the same] shall be last of all, and servant of all.

36 아이 하나를 데려다가 그들의 한가운데 세우시고 그를 팔에 안으시며 그들에게 이르시되,
36 And he took a child, and set him in the midst of them: and when he had taken him in his arms, he said unto them,
-
37 누구든지 내 이름으로 이런 아이들 중 하나를 받아들이는 자는 나를 받아들이며 누구든지 나를 받아들이는 자는 나를 받아들이지 아니하고 나를 보내신 분을 받아들이느니라, 하시니라.
37 Whosoever shall receive one of such children in my name, receiveth me: and whosoever shall receive me, receiveth not me, but him that sent me.

38 ¶ 요한이 그분께 응답하여 이르되, 선생님이여, 어떤 사람이 선생님의 이름으로 마귀들을 내쫓는 것을 우리가 보았는데 그가 우리를 따르지 아니하나이다. 그가 우리를 따르지 아니하므로 우리가 그를 막았나이다, 하였으나
38 And John answered him, saying, Master, we saw one casting out devils in thy name, and he followeth not us: and we forbad him, because he followeth not us.

39 예수님께서 이르시되, 그를 막지 말라. 내 이름으로 기적을 행하고서 쉽사리 나를 비방할 수 있는 사람은 아무도 없나니
39 But Jesus said, Forbid him not: for there is no man which shall do a miracle in my name, that can lightly speak evil of me.
-
40 우리를 반대하지 않는 자는 우리 편이니라.
40 For he that is not against us is on our part.
-
41 누구든지 너희가 그리스도에게 속하므로 내 이름으로 너희에게 마실 물 한 잔을 주면 진실로 내가 너희에게 이르노니 그가 자기 보상을 잃지 아니하리라.
41 For whosoever shall give you a cup of water to drink in my name, because ye belong to Christ, verily I say unto you, he shall not lose his reward.

42 또 누구든지 나를 믿는 이 작은 자들 중 하나를 걸려 넘어지게 하면 연자방아 맷돌이 목에 달린 채 바다에 던져지는 것이 그에게 더 나으니라.
42 And whosoever shall offend one of [these] little ones that believe in me, it is better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he were cast into the sea.

43 만일 네 손이 너를 걸려 넘어지게 하거든 그것을 잘라 내라. 불구가 되어 생명에 들어가는 것이 두 손을 가지고 지옥에, 결코 꺼지지 않을 불 속에 들어가는 것보다 네게 더 나으니
43 And if thy hand offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter into life maimed, than having two hands to go into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched:
-
44 거기서는 그들의 벌레도 죽지 아니하고 불도 꺼지지 아니하느니라.
44 Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.
-
45 만일 네 발이 너를 걸려 넘어지게 하거든 그것을 잘라 내라. 절뚝거리며 생명에 들어가는 것이 두 발을 가지고 지옥에, 결코 꺼지지 않을 불 속에 던져지는 것보다 네게 더 나으니
45 And if thy foot offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter halt into life, than having two feet to be cast into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched:

46 거기서는 그들의 벌레도 죽지 아니하고 불도 꺼지지 아니하느니라.
46 Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.

47 만일 네 눈이 너를 걸려 넘어지게 하거든 그것을 빼내라. 한 눈으로 하나님의 왕국에 들어가는 것이 두 눈을 가지고 지옥 불 속에 던져지는 것보다 네게 더 나으니
47 And if thine eye offend thee, pluck it out: it is better for thee to enter into the kingdom of God with one eye, than having two eyes to be cast into hell fire:
-
48 거기서는 그들의 벌레도 죽지 아니하고 불도 꺼지지 아니하느니라.
48 Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.
-
49 이는 사람마다 불로 절여질 것이요, 희생물마다 소금으로 절여질 것이기 때문이라.
49 For every one shall be salted with fire, and every sacrifice shall be salted with salt.
-
50 소금은 좋은 것이지만 만일 소금이 제 짠맛을 잃으면 너희가 무엇으로 그것의 맛을 내겠느냐? 너희 안에 소금을 두고 서로 화목하게 지내라, 하시니라.
50 Salt [is] good: but if the salt have lost his saltness, wherewith will ye season it? Have salt in yourselves, and have peace one with another.
