요한복음 1장 [KJV]

1. 1 처음에 말씀이 계셨고 말씀이 하나님과 함께 계셨으며 말씀이 하나님이셨더라.

   1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

2. 2 바로 그분께서 처음에 하나님과 함께 계셨고

   2 The same was in the beginning with God.

3. 3 모든 것이 그분에 의해 만들어졌으며 만들어진 것 중에 그분 없이 만들어진 것은 하나도 없더라.

   3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

4. 4 그분 안에 생명이 있었고 그 생명은 사람들의 빛이더라.

   4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men.

5. 5 그 빛이 어둠 속에서 비치되 어둠이 그것을 깨닫지 못하더라.

   5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.

6. 6 ¶ 하나님께서 보내신 사람이 있었는데 그의 이름은 요한이더라.

   6 There was a man sent from God, whose name [was] John.

7. 7 바로 그가 그 빛에 대해 증언하려고 증인으로 왔으니 이것은 모든 사람들이 자기를 통해 믿게 하려 함이라.

   7 The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all [men] through him might believe.

8. 8 그는 그 빛이 아니요 그 빛에 대해 증언하도록 보내어진 자더라.

   8 He was not that Light, but [was sent] to bear witness of that Light.

9. 9 그것은 세상에 들어오는 모든 사람을 비추는 참 빛이었느니라.

   9 [That] was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.

10. 10 그분께서 세상에 계셨고 세상이 그분에 의해 만들어졌으되 세상이 그분을 알지 못하였으며

    10 He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.

11. 11 그분께서 자기 땅에 오셨어도 그분의 백성이 그분을 받아들이지 아니하였으나

    11 He came unto his own, and his own received him not.

12. 12 그분을 받아들인 자들 곧 그분의 이름을 믿는 자들에게는 다 하나님의 아들들이 되는 권능을 그분께서 주셨으니

    12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, [even] to them that believe on his name:

13. 13 이들은 혈통이나 육신의 뜻이나 사람의 뜻에서 태어나지 아니하고 하나님에게서 태어났느니라.

    13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

14. 14 말씀이 육신이 되어 우리 가운데 거하시매 (우리가 그분의 영광을 보니 아버지의 독생하신 분의 영광이요) 은혜와 진리가 충만하더라.

    14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

15. 15 ¶ 요한이 그분에 대해 증언하며 외쳐 이르되, 이분은 내가 전에, 내 뒤에 오시는 분이 나보다 앞서신 것은 그분께서 나보다 먼저 계셨기 때문이라, 하고 말한 분이라, 하니라.

    15 John bare witness of him, and cried, saying, This was he of whom I spake, He that cometh after me is preferred before me: for he was before me.

16. 16 우리가 다 그분의 충만하심에서 받았으므로 은혜를 대체하는 은혜니

    16 And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace.

17. 17 이는 율법은 모세에 의해 주어졌으나 은혜와 진리는 예수 그리스도에 의해 왔기 때문이라.

    17 For the law was given by Moses, [but] grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.

18. 18 아무도 어느 때나 하나님을 보지 못하였으되 아버지 품속에 계신 독생자께서 그분을 밝히 드러내셨느니라.

    18 No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared [him].

19. 19 ¶ 유대인들이 제사장들과 레위 사람들을 예루살렘에서 보내어, 네가 누구냐? 하고 요한에게 물을 때에 그의 증언이 이러하니라.

    19 And this is the record of John, when the Jews sent priests and Levites from Jerusalem to ask him, Who art thou?

20. 20 그가 시인하고 부인하지 아니하며 시인하여 이르기를, 나는 그리스도가 아니라, 하매

    20 And he confessed, and denied not; but confessed, I am not the Christ.

21. 21 그들이 그에게 묻되, 그러면 무엇이냐? 네가 엘리야냐? 하니 그가 이르되, 나는 아니라, 하매 또 그들이 묻되, 네가 그 대언자냐? 하니 그가 대답하되, 아니라, 하므로

    21 And they asked him, What then? Art thou Elias? And he saith, I am not. Art thou that prophet? And he answered, No.

22. 22 그때에 그들이 그에게 이르되, 너는 누구냐? 우리를 보낸 자들에게 우리가 대답하게 하라. 너는 너 자신에 대해 무어라고 말하느냐? 하니

    22 Then said they unto him, Who art thou? that we may give an answer to them that sent us. What sayest thou of thyself?

23. 23 그가 이르되, 나는 대언자 이사야가 말한 것같이, 주의 길을 곧게 하라, 하고 광야에서 외치는 자의 소리라, 하니라.

    23 He said, I [am] the voice of one crying in the wilderness, Make straight the way of the Lord, as said the prophet Esaias.

24. 24 보내어진 자들은 바리새인들에게서 왔더라.

    24 And they which were sent were of the Pharisees.

25. 25 그들이 그에게 물으며 그에게 이르되, 그런즉 네가 그 그리스도도 아니요 엘리야도 아니요 그 대언자도 아니라면 어찌하여 침례를 주느냐? 하매

    25 And they asked him, and said unto him, Why baptizest thou then, if thou be not that Christ, nor Elias, neither that prophet?

26. 26 요한이 그들에게 대답하여 이르되, 나는 물로 침례를 주나 너희가 알지 못하는 한 분이 너희 가운데 서 계시는데

    26 John answered them, saying, I baptize with water: but there standeth one among you, whom ye know not;

27. 27 그분은 곧 내 뒤에 오시지만 나보다 앞서신 분이시니라. 나는 그분의 신발 끈을 풀 자격도 없노라, 하더라.

    27 He it is, who coming after me is preferred before me, whose shoe's latchet I am not worthy to unloose.

28. 28 이 일들은 요한이 침례를 주던 곳인 요르단 건너편 베다바라에서 이루어졌더라.

    28 These things were done in Bethabara beyond Jordan, where John was baptizing.

29. 29 ¶ 다음 날 요한이 예수님께서 자기에게 오시는 것을 보고 이르되, 세상 죄를 제거하시는 하나님의 어린양을 보라.

    29 The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.

30. 30 이분은 내가 전에, 내 뒤에 한 사람이 오시는데 그분께서 나보다 앞서신 것은 그분께서 나보다 먼저 계셨기 때문이라, 하고 말한 분이라.

    30 This is he of whom I said, After me cometh a man which is preferred before me: for he was before me.

31. 31 내가 그분을 알지 못하였으나 그분께서 이스라엘에게 드러나셔야 하므로 내가 와서 물로 침례를 주노라, 하니라.

    31 And I knew him not: but that he should be made manifest to Israel, therefore am I come baptizing with water.

32. 32 또 요한이 증언하여 이르되, 내가 보니 성령께서 비둘기같이 하늘로부터 내려오사 그분 위에 머무셨더라.

    32 And John bare record, saying, I saw the Spirit descending from heaven like a dove, and it abode upon him.

33. 33 내가 그분을 알지 못하였으나 나를 보내어 물로 침례를 주게 하신 분, 바로 그분께서 내게 이르시되, 성령이 누구에게 내려와 그 위에 머무는 것을 네가 볼 터인데 바로 그 사람이 성령으로 침례를 주는 분이니라, 하셨기에

    33 And I knew him not: but he that sent me to baptize with water, the same said unto me, Upon whom thou shalt see the Spirit descending, and remaining on him, the same is he which baptizeth with the Holy Ghost.

34. 34 내가 보고 이분이 하나님의 아들이심을 증언하였노라, 하니라.

    34 And I saw, and bare record that this is the Son of God.

35. 35 ¶ 다시 다음 날 요한이 자기 제자들 중 두 사람과 함께 서 있다가

    35 Again the next day after John stood, and two of his disciples;

36. 36 예수님께서 걸으실 때에 그분을 보고 이르되, 하나님의 어린양을 보라! 하매

    36 And looking upon Jesus as he walked, he saith, Behold the Lamb of God!

37. 37 그 두 제자가 그의 말을 듣고 예수님을 따르므로

    37 And the two disciples heard him speak, and they followed Jesus.

38. 38 그때에 예수님께서 돌아서서 그들이 따르는 것을 보시고 그들에게 이르시되, 너희가 무엇을 구하느냐? 하시니 그들이 그분께 이르되, 랍비여, 어디에 거하시나이까? 하니라. (랍비는 번역하면 선생님이라는 말이라.)

    38 Then Jesus turned, and saw them following, and saith unto them, What seek ye? They said unto him, Rabbi, (which is to say, being interpreted, Master,) where dwellest thou?

39. 39 그분께서 그들에게 이르시되, 와서 보라, 하시므로 그들이 가서 그분께서 거하시는 곳을 보고 그 날 그분과 함께 머물렀으니 이는 때가 열 시쯤이었기 때문이더라.

    39 He saith unto them, Come and see. They came and saw where he dwelt, and abode with him that day: for it was about the tenth hour.

40. 40 요한의 말을 듣고 그분을 따른 두 사람 중 하나는 시몬 베드로의 형제 안드레더라.

    40 One of the two which heard John [speak], and followed him, was Andrew, Simon Peter's brother.

41. 41 그가 먼저 자기 형제 시몬을 찾아서 그에게 이르되, 우리가 메시아를 만났다, 하였는데 메시아는 번역하면 그리스도니라.

    41 He first findeth his own brother Simon, and saith unto him, We have found the Messias, which is, being interpreted, the Christ.

42. 42 안드레가 그를 예수님께 데려오매 예수님께서 그를 바라보시고 이르시되, 네가 요나의 아들 시몬이지만 게바라 불리리라, 하시니라. 게바는 번역하면 돌이니라.

    42 And he brought him to Jesus. And when Jesus beheld him, he said, Thou art Simon the son of Jona: thou shalt be called Cephas, which is by interpretation, A stone.

43. 43 ¶ 그다음 날 예수님께서 갈릴리로 나가려 하시다가 빌립을 만나 그에게 이르시되, 나를 따르라, 하시니라.

    43 The day following Jesus would go forth into Galilee, and findeth Philip, and saith unto him, Follow me.

44. 44 한편 빌립은 안드레와 베드로의 도시인 벳새다 출신이더라.

    44 Now Philip was of Bethsaida, the city of Andrew and Peter.

45. 45 빌립이 나다나엘을 찾아서 그에게 이르되, 모세가 율법에 기록하고 대언자들이 기록한 분을 우리가 만났는데 그분은 곧 요셉의 아들 나사렛 예수님이시니라, 하매

    45 Philip findeth Nathanael, and saith unto him, We have found him, of whom Moses in the law, and the prophets, did write, Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.

46. 46 나다나엘이 그에게 이르되, 나사렛에서 무슨 선한 것이 날 수 있느냐? 하니 빌립이 그에게 이르되, 와서 보라, 하니라.

    46 And Nathanael said unto him, Can there any good thing come out of Nazareth? Philip saith unto him, Come and see.

47. 47 예수님께서 나다나엘이 자기에게 오는 것을 보시고 그에 대하여 이르시되, 참으로 이스라엘 사람을 보라. 그의 속에는 간사함이 없도다! 하시니

    47 Jesus saw Nathanael coming to him, and saith of him, Behold an Israelite indeed, in whom is no guile!

48. 48 나다나엘이 그분께 이르되, 어떻게 나를 아시나이까? 하매 예수님께서 그에게 대답하여 이르시되, 빌립이 너를 부르기 전에 네가 무화과나무 밑에 있을 때 내가 너를 보았노라, 하시므로

    48 Nathanael saith unto him, Whence knowest thou me? Jesus answered and said unto him, Before that Philip called thee, when thou wast under the fig tree, I saw thee.

49. 49 나다나엘이 그분께 응답하여 이르되, 랍비여, 선생님은 하나님의 아들이시요 선생님은 이스라엘의 왕이시니이다, 하매

    49 Nathanael answered and saith unto him, Rabbi, thou art the Son of God; thou art the King of Israel.

50. 50 예수님께서 그에게 응답하여 이르시되, 네가 무화과나무 밑에 있는 것을 내가 보았다고 네게 말하였으므로 네가 믿느냐? 네가 이것들보다 더 큰 일들을 보리라, 하시며

    50 Jesus answered and said unto him, Because I said unto thee, I saw thee under the fig tree, believest thou? thou shalt see greater things than these.

51. 51 또 그에게 이르시되, 진실로 진실로 내가 너희에게 이르노니 이제부터는 너희가 하늘이 열리고 하나님의 천사들이 사람의 아들 위에서 오르락내리락하는 것을 보리라, 하시니라.

    51 And he saith unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Hereafter ye shall see heaven open, and the angels of God ascending and descending upon the Son of man.
