디모데전서 1장 [킹제임스]

1. 1 Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by command of God our Savior and of Christ Jesus our hope,

   1 우리 구원자 하나님과 우리 소망이신 주 예수 그리스도의 명령에 의해 예수 그리스도의 사도가 된 바울은

2. 2 To Timothy, my true child in the faith: Grace, mercy, and peace from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Lord.

   2 믿음 안에서 나의 아들인 디모데에게 편지하노니 하나님 우리 아버지와 예수 그리스도 우리 주로부터 은혜와 긍휼과 화평이 있기를 원하노라.

3. 3 As I urged you when I was going to Macedonia, remain at Ephesus that you may charge certain persons not to teach any different doctrine,

   3 내가 마케도니아로 갈 때에 네게 간청하여 네가 계속 에베소에 머물 것을 구하였나니 이것은 네가 어떤 사람들에게 명하여 그들이 다른 교리를 가르치지 못하게 하고

4. 4 nor to occupy themselves with myths and endless genealogies which promote speculations rather than the divine training that is in faith;

   4 꾸며 낸 이야기와 끝없는 족보에 주의를 기울이지 못하게 하려 함이었느니라. 이런 것들은 믿음 안에 있는 그 일 즉 하나님의 뜻대로 세워 주는 일보다 오히려 논쟁을 일으키나니 그렇게 하라.

5. 5 whereas the aim of our charge is love that issues from a pure heart and a good conscience and sincere faith.

   5 한편 명령의 목적은 순수한 마음과 선한 양심과 거짓 없는 믿음에서 나오는 사랑인데

6. 6 Certain persons by swerving from these have wandered away into vain discussion,

   6 어떤 자들이 이것들에서 벗어나 헛된 말다툼에 빠져

7. 7 desiring to be teachers of the law, without understanding either what they are saying or the things about which they make assertions.

   7 율법의 선생이 되려 하나 그들은 자기들이 말하는 것이나 주장하는 것을 이해하지 못하는도다.

8. 8 Now we know that the law is good, if any one uses it lawfully,

   8 그러나 우리는 사람이 율법을 적법하게 쓰면 율법이 선하다는 것을 아노라.

9. 9 understanding this, that the law is not laid down for the just but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and sinners, for the unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers,

   9 이것을 알라. 곧 율법은 의로운 사람으로 인해 만들어지지 아니하고 법을 무시하는 자와 불순종하는 자와 하나님을 따르지 않는 자와 죄인과 거룩하지 않은 자와 속된 자와 아버지를 죽이는 자와 어머니를 죽이는 자와 사람을 죽이는 자와

10. 10 immoral persons, sodomites, kidnapers, liars, perjurers, and whatever else is contrary to sound doctrine,

    10 음행을 일삼는 자와 남자와 더불어 자기를 더럽히는 자와 사람을 납치하는 자와 거짓말쟁이와 위증하는 자와 그 밖의 무엇이든지 건전한 교리에 역행하는 것으로 인해 만들어졌는데

11. 11 in accordance with the glorious gospel of the blessed God with which I have been entrusted.

    11 이 교리는 내게 맡겨진 복음 곧 찬송받으실 하나님의 영광스러운 복음에 따른 것이니라.

12. 12 I thank him who has given me strength for this, Christ Jesus our Lord, because he judged me faithful by appointing me to his service,

    12 나를 능력 있게 하신 그리스도 예수 우리 주께 내가 감사를 드리나니 이는 그분께서 나를 신실한 자로 여기사 내게 사역을 맡기셨기 때문이라.

13. 13 though I formerly blasphemed and persecuted and insulted him; but I received mercy because I had acted ignorantly in unbelief,

    13 내가 전에는 신성모독 하는 자요, 핍박하는 자요, 해를 끼치는 자였으나 오히려 긍휼을 얻었으니 이는 내가 믿지 아니하는 가운데 알지 못하고 그것을 하였기 때문이라.

14. 14 and the grace of our Lord overflowed for me with the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus.

    14 우리 주의 은혜가 그리스도 예수님 안에 있는 믿음과 사랑과 함께 넘치도록 풍성하였도다.

15. 15 The saying is sure and worthy of full acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners. And I am the foremost of sinners;

    15 이것은 신실한 말이요 전적으로 받아들이기에 합당한 말이니 곧 그리스도 예수님께서 죄인들을 구원하시려고 세상에 오셨다는 말이로다. 내가 죄인들 중의 우두머리니라.

16. 16 but I received mercy for this reason, that in me, as the foremost, Jesus Christ might display his perfect patience for an example to those who were to believe in him for eternal life.

    16 그러나 이런 까닭으로 내가 긍휼을 얻었나니 이것은 예수 그리스도께서 먼저 내 안에서 모든 오래 참으심을 보이사 이후에 자신을 믿어 영존하는 생명에 이르게 될 자들에게 본이 되게 하려 하심이라.

17. 17 To the King of ages, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory for ever and ever. Amen.

    17 이제 영원하신 왕 곧 죽지 아니하시고 보이지 아니하시고 홀로 지혜로우신 하나님께 존귀와 영광이 영원무궁토록 있기를 원하노라. 아멘.

18. 18 This charge I commit to you, Timothy, my son, in accordance with the prophetic utterances which pointed to you, that inspired by them you may wage the good warfare,

    18 아들 디모데야, 전에 너에 관하여 주어진 대언들에 따라 내가 네게 이 책무를 주노니 너는 그 대언들에 힘입어 선한 싸움을 싸우고

19. 19 holding faith and a good conscience. By rejecting conscience, certain persons have made shipwreck of their faith,

    19 믿음과 선한 양심을 붙들라. 어떤 자들이 그것을 버리고 믿음에 관하여는 파선하였는데

20. 20 among them Hymenaeus and Alexander, whom I have delivered to Satan that they may learn not to blaspheme.

    20 그들 가운데 후메내오와 알렉산더가 있느니라. 내가 그들을 사탄에게 넘겨주었으니 이것은 그들이 가르침을 받아 신성모독 하지 못하게 하려 함이니라.
