워싱턴의 마리아 무염시태 성당의 글귀   마리아는 원죄가 없다. 마리아는 하늘의 여왕이다.

워싱턴의 마리아 무염시태 성당: 마리아는 죄없이 태어났음을 기념하기 위한 성당, 세계 7대 성당 중의 하나 이 안에는 전 세계의 여러 나라에서 숭배받는  다양한 형태의 마리아 신전이 있다.

지금도 천주교인들은 죄들을 용서받기 위해 마리아에게 기도하고 있다(로마에서). 

초기 그리스도인들이 사자와 같은 맹수들의 밥이 되었던 곳.

마틴 루터가 죄를 용서받기 위해 기어올라간 계단. 전설에 따르면 이 계단은 원래 빌라도 당시에 예루살렘에 있었고 여기서 예수님이 심판을 받았는데 그 후에 천사가 들어서 로마로 옮겼다고 한다(천주교회의 또 다른 거직말). 지금도 죄를 용서받기 위해 멀쩡한 사람들이 이 계단을 무릎을 꿇고 올라간다.  이것이 천주교회의 행위에 의한 구원 교리이다. 

로마의 해골 성당 성당 내부를 모두 아이들의 뼈로 장식해 놓았다.
